Recently, the group standard "Titanium Alloy Materials for Shipbuilding," issued by the China Metal Materials Circulation Association, was officially implemented.
TuoShan Heavy Industry's subsidiary, Henan Xinkaoyuan Petrochemical Pipeline Co., Ltd., deeply participated in the drafting as a core contributor, bringing its extensive R&D experience in titanium alloys and practical knowledge from shipbuilding projects into the standard system.

As an important part of Tuoshan Heavy Industry’s layout in the special new materials sector, the subsidiary has provided crucial support for the scientific and practical standards through key areas such as material selection, process parameters, and performance verification for high-stress load-bearing components. By contributing solid technology, it fulfills the role of a national enterprise and also helps the company gain industry influence in the field of standardized ship materials.
This standard focuses on high-stress load-bearing applications in ships, comprehensively unifying technical requirements for titanium alloys, testing methods, inspection rules, as well as regulations for packaging, storage, transport, and labeling. It effectively fills a gap in domestic standards for titanium alloy materials in the shipping industry and promotes faster progress toward standardization, localization, and high-end development.
Deep involvement in industry standard-making marks the subsidiary’s key transition from technical application to standards leadership. Its core technical capabilities and engineering experience have been transformed into industry-wide guidelines, further consolidating the company’s technical leadership in the niche of new titanium alloy materials and providing standardized support to overcome barriers in high-end material technology.
Looking ahead, the subsidiary will leverage Tuoshan Heavy Industry’s industrial synergy, continue focusing on national strategic sectors like shipbuilding, deep-sea equipment, and high-end energy, and concentrate efforts on advancing special new material technology and its industrial application. By enforcing strict standards to refine product quality and driving continuous innovation to build core supply capabilities, the company aims to play a greater role in the iteration and upgrade of naval equipment and in achieving autonomous control over high-end manufacturing, turning practical results into a new chapter for China’s intelligent manufacturing in deep-sea exploration.
